Q: Why don’t you use natural gemstones?

A: I do, but I only use them if I can be sure they are secondhand or recovered from old jewellery.  Any new stones I use are lab-grown.

Q: Why?

A: Because I don’t believe that it is necessary to dig up gems from the earth for sake of pretty jewellery.  A lab-grown diamond is just as sparkly and as beautiful, and no-one had to work underground in dangerous conditions for it.

Q: Do you use recycled materials?

A: Yes.  Most of the silver bought in the UK nowadays is recycled, so that’s not really a challenge.  I don’t work in gold or other precious metals.

Q: Are your pieces hallmarked as Sterling Silver?

A: No.  I don’t sell anything with more than 7.5g of silver, so under UK law that doesn’t need to be hallmarked.  Hallmarking costs money, so by not hallmarking, I can keep my prices down.

Q: Do you have all your wisdom teeth?

A: No, they were taken out in 2004.

Q: Do you make all the jewellery yourself, or is that a wildly exaggerated claim?

A: I make and design everything myself in my workshop in Hampshire.

Q: Is postage included?

A: Yes, the price of each item includes postage and packaging and all items are sent by second-class, signed-for post.

Q: What's with the packaging?

A: Oh, so you noticed.  Well, the tins help to protect the jewellery in transit and I think they look pretty tidy.  Best of all, because they are aluminium they are completely recyclable.  Or you can keep them to store other small items.

Q: Do you ship to Europe or the US?

A: No.  As a sole trader, I don’t have the resources to ship overseas.  Also, since Brexit ruined it for everybody, I cannot ship to Europe or NI without significant cost and bureaucracy, so I don’t.

Q: What if I don’t like my jewellery or the person it’s for doesn’t like it?

A: Simply return it in its original condition within fifteen days for a full refund.
